 Aspire120

> Upgrade from on older version of Aspire to V9

Similarly to the Area Copy Tool, this toolpath allows you to duplicate one or more toolpaths (its children) as a block, based on the dimensions you enter in its properties.

Upgrade from an older version of Aspire to V9

Version 9 of Aspire includes significant enhancements and completely new features across all areas of the product.

The new versions added a further $500 to the clip art included with the program.

Drawing vectors has been made more efficient with the introduction of Vectric's smart cursor which allows you to snap to lines and extensions, which don't necessarily exist as geometry. It reduces the need to create construction geometry, and would be helpful in aligning vectors or nodes. We have also added our Quick Keys tool, this allow syou to add more precision to your shape creation and editing process more easily by allowing typed values while creating geometry. This is supported for creation of circles, ellipses, rectangles, polygons, stars, polylines and when in editing nodes or transforming vectors.

Another brand new feature includes Two-Sided Machining. This adds the ability to create double-sided projects in the same session. It avoids the need to have 2 sessions, one for each side. Combining this with the new Multi-Sided 2D & 3D view and STL model iimport, this makes creating two-sided parts seemless.

We have added powerful features to the modeling tools arsenal. This includes the all new Turn & Spin feature. The turn tool takes a profile and turns it, like a lathe or a potter's wheel, to create a rounded symmetrical component. To use the tool you require only the profile that you want to turn. This profile should represent the outer boundary of the shape you wish to create. Secondly we have added the Mirror Mode Components tool, this feature allows you to define a component level so that it mirrors all of its components in a certain way, based on the mirror type. This allows you to build pleasing symmetrical arrangements with ease.

For the toolpath side of the program we have added a brand new feature called Array Copy Toolpath. Similarly to the Area Copy Tool, this toolpath allows you to duplicate one or more toolpaths (its children) as a block, based on the dimensions you enter in its properties.

This is just a selection of the new features; a comprehensive list along with videos demonstrating them can be seen on the following page:

Upgrade Cut2D to VCarve Pro

Upgrade from Cut2D to VCarve

VCarve has the same interface and easy to use work-flow of Cut2D but adds a significant number of additional features for customers wanting more 2.5D and 3D CNC functionality. With the same powerful set of drawing and 2D import options along with the 2D toolpaths, VCarve adds a number of 2.5D toolpath strategies such as VCarving, Prism Toolpaths, Fluting and Texturing.

The latest version of VCarve also includes support for importing and machining 3D models from other design systems. When machining the 3D data you can mix and match 3D and 2D machining strategies to efficiently cut high quality parts. VCarve has also added the ability to import and assemble Vectric 3D Clip Art and with the new version we now include a set of 3D models (V3M format) in addition to the existing 2D clip art. The clip art includes 70+ models selected from the Vector Art 3D website: http://www.vectorart3d.com these models alone would cost over US$2000 if purchased individually. Along with other 3D designs and variations this makes a total of 300+ pieces of 3D clip art that are included with the upgrade.

The combination of this comprehensive set of 2D, 2.5D and 3D design and machining with the ease of use Vectric is renowned for makes VCarve one of the most effective ways a Cut2D user can further enhance what they can do with their machine.

  Cut3D Upgrade Options

> Upgrade from Cut3D to Aspire

Upgrade Cut3D to AspireIf you don’t want to be limited to just importing 3D files from an external CAD system but would like to either create your own relief style models or import existing 3D parts, edit and combine them into more complex designs then Aspire could be for you. You can create multiple cutting areas for rough and finish as well as define custom boundary shapes for your parts.

At its core Aspire has a powerful set of 3D modelling tools, you can create or open 2D vector data and then use this to generate 3D models within the software. Once you have your 3D shapes (imported or created yourself) then you can use the editing tools to distort, divide, scale, move etc. and then finish them using the interactive sculpting tools, the smoothing or texturing options in the software. As well as all the 3D functionality Aspire contains the 2D design capabilities of our VCarve Pro software as well as its full set of 2D and 2.5D toolpathing options such as Profile, Pocket, Drill, VCarving, Prism Cutting, Inlays and many more…
